Bflopp Time Tours · Est. 2026 · The future is a place

Plan a trip to the future.
The math is real.

Time travel isn’t science fiction — it’s physics homework. Einstein worked out that the faster you move, the slower your clock runs compared to everyone who stayed home.Go fast enough, come back, and you’ll step out into a future you barely aged toward. This page does that math for your trip — and issues the boarding pass.

🛸 The Trip Planner

The Loop: blast out at a serious fraction of light-speed, turn around halfway, and coast home — to an Earth that has aged far more than you have. Pick how far into the future you want to land, and how fast you’re willing to go.

25 years — you’ll return to Earth in 2051

Slide it. One year is a stunt. Two hundred is a new civilization. There is no setting for “back.”

Time aboard ship—What your body and your ship’s clock actually live through.
Your age on return—Everyone else aged the full trip.
Farthest from home—The turnaround point, halfway out, halfway grown old by Earth.
Energy per kilogram—Why tickets are, for now, theoretical.

🌀 The Way-Back Lab

Forward was the easy direction. Backward is the one everybody actually wants — and the one nature guards. But physicists have spent a century picking the lock. This lab works through every serious attempt to figure out how to go back: what the math says, what you’d need to build it, and the one brutal limit almost all of them share. Start with where you want to go:

⚖️ The Paradox Panel

Suppose you crack it anyway. What happens when you meddle? Physics has three standing answers — pick a misdeed and a theory, and see how your trip ends:

🔭 The other direction is free

You can’t travel to the past — but you look into it every clear night. Light takes time to get here, so everything you see is a photograph of how things were. Pick a view:

The honest fine print. The planner uses special relativity’s time dilation, γ = 1 / √(1 − v²/c²): Earth time ÷ γ = your ship time on a simplified constant-speed loop, ignoring acceleration, fuel, shielding, and the small matter of no existing ship being able to do this. Astronauts already do it in miniature — crews on the space station come home a few hundredths of a second younger than they would have. The direction is proven. The speed is the only problem left, and problems like that are what the future is for. Backward is a different animal: every method in the Way-Back Lab is a genuine published solution or hypothesis from working physicists — and not one has been built, observed at human scale, or survived contact with the exotic matter it requires. The Lab shows the real state of the hunt, shopping lists included; the day one of them works, this page will need a new bookings department, and so will history.
