How Bflopp Works

Bflopp is a one-person operation. The trick: AI does the heavy lifting, and a human makes the calls. Here's the workflow, piece by piece.

⚗️ Brewing a game

You describe a game in plain words. The AI writes a spec — not a whole game, just the art direction: palettes, shapes, tuning numbers. The spec is validated (bad code gets one retry), then a fixed, tested game engine brings it to life — same physics, HUD, and pickups every brew, so every game feels right. The AI also paints the cover art and a logo for the shirt shop. Prompt to playable: about 30 seconds.

🌅 The daily brew

Every morning around 7am Pacific, a scheduled job wakes the AI up to brew the day's featured game from a rotating list of themes. It all runs on a free AI tier, with a daily budget meter keeping it honest.

🏍️ ROOST trivia

AI helped build ROOST's question pool — 37 categories, thousands of answers — and writes the dirt-bike-flavored prompts. The daily sets are picked by a deterministic algorithm, so every day's ride is fresh but still replayable.

🧑 The human in the loop

AI proposes; the human disposes. Every game gets playtested, every brew gets a look, and nothing ships to the live site without an explicit go-ahead. The taste is human — the throughput is AI.

🔧 The plumbing

Sign-in is one magic link by email — no passwords. Scores, votes, and leaderboards live in a Cloudflare D1 database, and the whole site runs on Cloudflare Workers. Boring, fast, reliable — exactly how plumbing should be.
